I collect dolls...my main interest is the Vogue Ginny Doll which I played with as a child. Ginny is play scale and I have a house for her which I've decorated. I've also made Polymer clay food in play scale.

I started the Pierce around 25 years ago! I came to this forum with the hope of being inspired to finish it. It's a little intimidating to see all the talent here, but it certainly is inspiring.

1. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a happy and safe New Year.
2. It looks very good. What a great idea...good luck with the contest. Do you have a link for your Webshots?
3. My house might have been a work in progress for the last 20+ years, but I have faithfully decorated it every year. One again I have the outside looking rather festive for the holidays. My real house is a disaster, but the make believe one is looking good.
4. I enjoyed it, but when I was a pre-schooler TV hadn't been invented yet. I'm sure my kids would probably remember that song. Isn't that just like a cat though?
5. The world we now live in has certainly changed. (I think they could at least tape everything closed again.)
6. Hi to you... I didn't know there was a store in Pasadena. Where is it located? Anywhere near Michael's on the Beltway? I went to the one on the Gulf Freeway near Baybrook. I was so stressed rushing around that I almost cried. I told the manager that I rarely ever complain (my husband would disagree) and he said, "I know...I believe you." It's funny today, but yesterday it was a crisis.
7. How pure and elegant. I can picture it floating on a cloud.
8. My goodness...they live in the next town.
9. Terri, I was in one in Columbus, Ohio last summer. Is that too far for you? I have no idea how many miles that would be from Pittsburgh.
10. I went to Hobby Lobby today too. I dropped my father off at cardiac rehab and went to work out myself. I skipped out early so I'd have twenty minutes to run through Hobby Lobby before I picked up Dad. I ran to the back of the store and there were boxes and boxes of stuff stacked in front of the miniature section. Two employees were standing there and I asked if it was possible to move a couple of boxes just so I could reach through and try and get something. The boxes were two deep and three or four high. They said they were sorry but it wasn't possible. I pointed out that the miniatures were on sale this week and I couldn't buy any because they were blocked. They told me I'd have to come back later in the week. I was very nice, but really upset too. Because of my Dad my time is very valuable and with Thanksgiving this was the only day I could get to the store. I was nice because I believe you get further in life by being nice, but I couldn't believe how stupid it was to pile the stuff there. Why not pile it in front of something that's not on sale this week? I got to the front of the store and decided to ask to speak to a manager. I rarely do that, but I've worked in retail and know that the employees are usually just following directions and often have no say in how things are done, so I like to go to the top with complaints. I explained the situation to the manager and he wanted to go have them move the stuff, but by then I was out of time and had to run and get my father. I explained all of this to him. So, he told me to come back after Thanksgiving and he'd give me the 50% off any day. Another time I wanted to buy something and wanted to wait until it was on sale. I wasn't sure what category this particular item would fit under in their weekly ad and I wanted to watch for it. I asked the manager if he knew if it would be on sale soon and instead he gave me 40% off on the spot. So, I've always found them to be very accomodating and fair.
11. The one I go to is right by the hospital that I take my Dad to for cardiac rehab three times a week, so I go in weekly. It's also being remodeled and has been a little disorganized the past few weeks. I think they're almost done. As of last week they had added a few things, but it's still a small section. I remember when it was larger.
12. That's me!!!!! My son assures me that every neighborhood has a crazy little old cat lady and I just happen to be the one in this neighborhood. (Five indoor cats and a feral that lives in the backyard.)
13. Enjoyed the pictures. Was that a weaving loom in the one picture? Was the shop in Old Town Spring? I kind of assumed maybe that was where it would be. I'll have to slip away and drive up there one day. Can you tell me what it's near? Did anyone get to the place on I-10? I went a week or so ago and it's smaller than it used to be. I hadn't been in a number of years.
14. I haven't started my Sugarplum either. I'm starting to think it will have to wait until after Christmas. I've got a couple of other projects I'm hoping to work on first. I bought a house already put together that I found in an antique/flea market and I'm planning to do the paper clay stones on the chimney. I moved my Dad here from NJ a few months ago and he's living nearby in assisted living, but three days a week I take him to cardiac rehab and I've also been taking him to various doctor appointments and other errands. I'm constantly running over there to look for something he's lost, toss out his junk mail, etc., etc. My time for fun is very limited. I find in the evening I'm too tired from running around during the day to start anything. I was trying to keep Tuesday as a free day for me, but that hasn't been working out lately. However, my Dad celebrated his 88th birthday on Monday and for that I'm very grateful.
15. They deleted my feedback and left me negative feedback in retaliation. I didn't think negative (or positive) feedback could be deleted once it was given. That doesn't seem fair. Do you mean the seller removed the negative feedback that you gave them and now no one else can see it? I just went back and looked at the auction. It was one of those I Sold It places. Aren't they a franchise? I'm wondering if that franchisee belongs to the Better Business Bureau? There might be some recourse that way.
