garland

WyckedWood

This is as much as I got done today, although I worked for hours on it...I still have more to add to the garland but at least its started and in place. I chose to come in quite close to the door with it (as opposed to outside the frame) because its covering up two elements of the door I don't care for...one, the open air gap that existed between the door and the door frame, and two, the circle design laser marked into the exterior frame. The door wont open and close anymore, but that doesn't bother me. Im waiting on a few more things to arrive before I permanently wire the porch light in. I also started building up the snow in the corners....all of these things would be really hard to do if I had added the front porch piece already...glad I didn't, every once in a while I think of things like that ahead of time :)

BTW...only 256 days, 6 hours and 41 minutes until Christmas people. :-)

I was just being annoying ;-) I agree, and its actually hard to focus on a Christmas project when every fiber of my body is yearning for Spring :)

Hard to think of Christmas when we've only had 2 nice Spring days so far, here in CT, but your beautiful work speaks loudly of the many hours you've put into it. Can't wait to see more!
