70's fireplace placement...

So now that the fireplace has arrive, I have totally changed my mind about the design of the room! I want to be able to see the shape of front, so I am considering putting it in the corner, rather than along the wall beside the door. The grey paper indicated where the paperclay stone work will go.

I like the fireplace in the corner. Maybe the stone work could be shaped as a semicircle to reflect the lines of the fireplace?
