I am terrible with math.... no... I mean TERRIBLE.... the concept of numbers completely eludes me (odd that it is so important in my favorite pastime)..... anyhow..... because of my crippling handicap with numbers... I have to do things a bit differently... I made a sample block on cardstock... this is messy, not square and a bit goofy looking at the moment... but this is the direction I am going with the ceiling... (ignore the vertical strip wood on the top and bottom of the block) The center of the block is made from polymer clay and a push mold... the stencil work will be ... um... neater... and done in gold... and the entire ceiling and all the wood beams will be stained walnut. It looks like there will be 6 of these blocks on the ceiling in the living room.....

..... of course this is all still subject to change as other supplies arrive....
