DollhouseBrickFloor

Creamcheese

This is another view of the kitchen brick flooring. I just did a dry fit of the kitchen bay to make sure everything would fit. Since there is hardly any wall on the bay windows with the exception of a baseboard I may not use any wallpaper around the bay windows but just keep it this bright yellow. This is the room where the tin ceiling in white will go which I think I had in my earlier photos.

Laying the individual bricks was a labor of love thats for sure. Doing the mortar was a lot quicker once I found you could use a foam brush and then just wipe off the excess.

The product I chose came in a bag of 325 individual mini bricks and I chose the Used Bricks as I wanted the floor to look more rustic. After I decided on my brick pattern (basket weave) I drew my lines and used emory boards as my spacers to lay the individual bricks and to keep them in a straight line. Once they were glued to the floor with white glue then I sprayed the bricks with a matt sealer and then applied the mortar mix. It really looks so authentic! I believe the bag had Andi Mini Brick & Mortar on the bag. You can get it at most online websites.
