Dura Craft FH-500 -- Arkoma, OK 08/02/2012

Gonzo

Another pickup on the way back to Indiana from Dallas. There was no box, just a tote and a trash bag. All of the parts seem to be there AND the instructions. I may sell this to someone locally as I already have one. I just couldn't see it get tossed. The lady's niece had left it with her for 10 years and she was tired of it getting in the way.

So I have to ask....once you rescue them, what do you do with them? Sell? Finish/rehab then keep or sell?

I see SO many dollhouses that I would love to rescue - but my RL house is too small for the collection I already have. Plus, there just is not enough of hours in a week for me to finish them all! :(

Jackie...I just saw your comment. I am building some of them. I have my "favorites" stacked on a cabinet in my home office and on a shelf in the closet. They include a Hofco Farmhouse, a DC Marquam Hill Mansion, 2 Newports, a DC Victorian Mansion and some others. I have sold a few to folks here in the forum. I just pass along my cost. I could probably flip some on eBay and make a little money, but I want to make sure they go to someone that will build them.

Some of the smaller homes I will build and sell for Christmas. Others I will donate to a local shelter or the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
