Side view of the stairs. I haven't installed the panels of the wainscoting on this side. The flat areas around the steps will be where the newel posts and baulsters will rest (and not on the individual steps). The stairs are pine, so they are more red than the basswood I am using on the other trim, but this picture makes them look MUCH more red than they are!

I love them, their beautiful. I have been changing my stairs as I didn't like the flat ones I only hope mine come out half as good :-)
