flooring idea

Hubby doesnt like the transition from the marble stairs to what appears to be wood parkay, maybe if it were marble parkay it would be acceptable?

I think I agree with Hubby on this one, I would go with a stone floor as well

The parquet flooring is just gorgeous but I have to agree that it doesn't go with the marble stairs. The reverse would be fine (marble entry and wooden stairs). If you're dead set on having marble stairs, then why not try out some marble paper for the entry? I believe both HBS and Dollshouse Emporium carry same.
