My idea for this side of the manor house is light colored walls, subtle designs if any, because the entire room is mostly windows. Yesterday I just washed in some light color for perspective, I had some visitors so, didnt do much more here, I need more wood to put in the sub floor, thinking about pews, and I purchased a few 10 arm chandeliers, [ 20$ a piece! ] that I think could look amazing in here.

Also if you will notice the windows on the left, I removed the colored paper, to experiment with other effects, but may ultimately end up keeping whats here and adding window trim

Stonewoork on floors and plaster walls would be appropriate for a chapel in a house like this. Visited a lot of them when I lived in England and did not see much paneling or wooden floors. But then this is a smaller family chapel so they could very well have updated!

Right, I like the stone floor idea, you have to remember this house had no floors what so ever, so you are looking at subflooring
