Front of Madame Puddifoot's

biomom

A half-scale laser cut Diana done Harry Potter style. Madame Puddifoot's Tea Salon was highlighted in the 5th Harry Potter book. It is located in Hogsmeade and is the "haunt of happy couples." Harry had a disasterous Valentine's Day date at said location. The front porch features a little park bench, two French statues and some flowers (made by from an SDK mini kit - highly recommended!) I think the front sign over the door needs to be a little larger...I may have to alter that.

Thanks so much! Rolling paperclay out like pastry worked well...although I decided to let it dry before putting it on the house instead of pasting it wet onto the walls. It shrinks a lot so I had to fiddle a bit. I was a little scared with painting...but the paint wash technique is gradual and lets you give a more realistic multi-tone look. I used dark gray wash for the grout and it ran nicely and spread easily into the cracks when I tapped the brush in them.
