havanaholly's apple baskets

havanaholly

Due to the primitive way I take pictures Linda took one for me. I had all sorts of different mini baskets & also some mini gourds. When I found red beads the right size it went from there biggrin.gif

I used a single strand of brown embroidery floss. I threaded it into a needle & tied a double knot in one end. I put a dot of Elmer's all-prpose glue on the knot and threaded a bead until I worked it just over the knot. I tied another knot next to the bead & repeated the process until the floss starnd was full of beads, and I set it aside to dry & repeated the process. When they were dry I cut the beads apart just below the next bead, leaving a wee bit of the floss sticking up for a stem.

I had collected an assortment of mini baskets, many were too small to do mini gourds (which I found in a package at Wal Mart). I drizzled glue in the bottom of the basket & filled it with "reindeer" moss and then glued the "apples" in.
