This house is strange. It is made from wood, has plastic siding and shutters, and paper shingles!

Will need quite a bit of work to make it look spiffy again.

I found one like this at a Goodwill store for $5.00 once! :p I removed all of the plastic siding, gave it a stucco finish and all new windows and a door. Total remodel of the interior...then donated it to my kids' private school benefit auction. It brought $400! :p

Have fun with the rehab!

I also have a SkilCraft house with that siding and paper shingles. I have debated whether I wanted to keep it on there to preserve it, or do like Jackie did and take it all off. I'm leaning towards taking it off, especially since some of the siding was applied upside down!

Now I know others have done it, I may take off the siding too.

Jackie - $400 that's amazing! and Tracy, if my plastic siding was upside down I would definitely take it off!

I had a Skilcraft Colonial from 1979. I bought it off Ebay for $20 ..it was OIB..(old in box. LOL). The only plastic that I used was the shutters. I bought wood siding and shingles for it. That was my very first house and the one that brought me here. I only have one picture of it that I could dig up. I have long since given it away to a youngin.

I will post in my Mini Photos in the gallery.
