Jo Med 1,017 Posted March 12, 2011 Oh wow wow wow, I love this Gerda, its just my sort of thing. The shelves look old, dusty and very real. I take my hat off to you girl, this is an amazing bit of work. Did you make all the books yourself, they look perfect. I adore things that look old, muted and a bit worn and that effect is very tricky to achieve but you've cracked it. Quote Link to comment

Gee 125 Posted March 13, 2011 Thanks Jo and Debora!Yes, i have made all the books myself. Some books are faux books, and others are fully hand bound, readable 18th century books of which copyright has expired. The covers of almost all books are replicas of real 18th century books. To tell you the truth, I am sooo glad these are finished, i probably won't touch another book (mini or 1:1) for the next year or so.And, should i ever have to do this over again, i think i would take the easy way doing this, because this was very time consuming and the result probably is the same.Ah well, learning as we go.. ;) And, Jo, i think the trick is not working too tidy, and not wanting it to turn out nice.but that's just my two cents Quote Link to comment
