Addition side

Just One More

This is where I cut the doors to go into the addition. Without power tools it wasn't easy. In my Alison Jr I left the wall with the siding instead of using the piece they provide to cover it. It looks fine just painted to match the rest of the room. I'll do the same on this house.

House looks really nice. What did you use to make the door holes? Keep putting progress pictures on. Janet

I traced a pattern for the door opening and then with my power drill and smallest bit, drilled holes as close together as possible along the lines. Then I had to make an opening big enough or my saw to fit, using a larger drill bit, and cutting with an Exacto. It wasn't easy with my only power tool being the drill. The door frames cover everything so the edges don't have to be really smooth, just so they are straight. I really need to get a mini power saw. The MDF is very hard but once you get the saw blade in, it's not so bad and cuts fairly easy.

I really like the classic look of this house. I was wondering you would cut the openings. You are a better woman than I am with that drill! WOW! Good work.
