Trying out Colors

I'm a big fan of scrapbook paper and found all these neutrals. Unfortunately, when I got them home, I realized that except for the bedroom (upper left) papers, they have too much gold. And honestly, in this scenario, they all seem so blah.

Now I knew going into this that most of the 2nd floor walls would be over 12 inches. I thought I'd solve that with chair rails (that's why you see 2 papers for the bed and bath). But then when I started visualizing it, I realized that with all those soaring windows, it'd be a bit like cutting of someone at the knees. Had I started the windows at 4" above the floor (these are at 2"), I could've just run a horizontal line - a combo chair rail and bottom window casing. So, now I'm going to have to search the internet for appropriate dollhouse paper - in the right length but with a patter than can be used vertically, not horizontally.
