Love the idea and such pretty porcelain!

If we ever break any of our favorite china teacups, I know who I'm sending them to! :groucho:

Good Heavens! Are you actually breaking lovely porcelain to use the pieces? As much as I love dollhouses, I also love beautiful porcelain dinnerware, so I am cringing a bit. Don't get me wrong: if they are already damaged, that's one thing. But, perfectly beautiful plates??? I honestly don't think I could do it. I am as domestically inclined as your average armadillo, but I still love my china!

LoL....I think its fabulous, afterall they will still be treasured, just in a different form. And what a lucky dollhouse, to be graced with such beautifully patterned floors!

Well, shame on me . . . the plates are not damaged (yet!)

At the Orlando Miniatures Show I saw 6"x6" floors selling for $40, $50 and higher. The Staffordshire plates only cost a few pennies at Salvation Army & Goodwill. Sometimes, you can get an entire china service for $20, and then it's so fun to carefully break them . . . every snap seems to relieve tension for me.

Thanks for commenting :)
