macduff 1 Posted January 2, 2010 Your stonework is exquisite! Is it egg carton? The door w/ the leaded windows is fantastic as well! Are there more pictures of the interior?Just looked at the interior photos, and they are gorgeous! I LOVE your Beacon Hill! Can't wait to see it completed! Quote Link to comment
Debora59 2,608 Posted January 3, 2010 Years ago I worked with imitation stained glass leading, it was squeezable and the effect was actually not bad at all if you have a steady hand. I am interested in how you acheived your window pane effect. I will look through your past posts. Quote Link to comment
cjme63 5 Posted January 3, 2010 Thanks for your comments! Debora, welcome to the forum! I look forward to seeing your work too. I give much credit to those who have gone before me as they inspired me with their techniques and designs. The fun part is taking an idea and putting your own style to it. Daisel518 0 Posted January 3, 2010 Beautiful! That was a lot of work! I'm doing little egg carton bricks today, did you paint them before you sealed them? I've been considering sealing them with Mod Podge, thank you for this inspiration! Quote Link to comment

Here is a great tutorial that I used to learn the technique. They suggest using charcoal colors brushed onto the carton before cutting it apart, but I'm sure you can do it after as well. http://www.miniland.ca/BRICK1.htmlGood luck - show us your pix as you go along...Cynthia Quote Link to comment
