Adirondack chair.

I ended up making 7 more. Making 7 went almost as quickly a making 1. I was surprised - I guess assembly lines work.

I used pine, but you could make these out jumbo craft sticks (basswood.)

I printed templates of all the parts then used a glue stick (repositioning) to attach the paper templates to the wood, then rough cut around the outline, then sanded the edges clean right to the outline. The hardest part was gluing everything together, everything is at a different angle.

All from scratch?? Very clever and gorgeous pieces!! Yup, and I'll have to look up that book(The Loder Book) Great pix!!

Lynn, this furniture was not in the Lodder books, just in case you were think'n that. I browse furniture websites, (the ones with measurements of the furniture), then draw them in Google Sketchup (a free 3D drawing program), this way I get all the bugs out before I build in the real world. Some I designed myself.

The Lodder book I have does have furniture instructions tho. And I will be building the stove for the Country Kitchen from the Lodder book next.

Thanks, Mike
