Wooden floor at a closer look

Well, here it is: my first adventure in making a wooden floor.

I'm going to do all 4 rooms with these wooden ermm planks(?). Since the wider ones are rather expensive, I may use them for the attic only. That should be affordable, and no doubt look more realistic.

Anyway, I'll decide on how to finish the wooden floors once they're all in. Like I commented on the other picture of the floor: it's a colorful house already, and there's the future furniture to consider as well.

I like the colors-- very fun! A light stain like golden pecan (I am thinking of Minwax's version) shouldn't be too much? Also in one of my Beacon Hill rooms, I had the same concern, so I ended up leaving the "planks" (skinny sticks) natural, just sanding and sealing.

I agree, I just sanded and sealed my masterbedroom and I like it that way. In this house you need a subtle floor to complement the vibrant paint imo.
