Library Fireplace

The library was a favorite room of Samuel's three daughters and of the family has a whole. One thing they would do at night was to have Samuel tell stories using the objects on the mantle in the order they were laid out in the story. As you can imagine some interesting things would show up on the mantle. There is a picture of the three girls and their dog on the porch of the Hartford House on the mantle here.
