In my research on steamboats, I saw they would have wooden chairs out on the decks for people to enjoy the view. Here is Samuel and Clara on the deck.

The Mark Twain doll was made by Elaine Kothe of Petite People Plus. At the Sturbridge Show, she had a doll that looked a lot like Mark Twain. I asked if I could get one in a lighter suit since Mark Twain is always pictured in an off white or white suit. She asked me to send her a picture of him and this is what she did for me. She also sent me the extra material to make a more distinctive mustache since her doll only had a porcelian one.
