I loved all the carved doors and metal work that I saw in Morocco and knew I wanted to go for something along those lines. I started trying to carve the door like I did the table but I've been having quite a few problems with my upper back lately and the thought of carving both sides of the door by hand was daunting. I headed over to Michaels yesterday to see if I could find something that would get me the look I wanted without being hunched over for hours. Low and behold, I found these amazing medallions in the jewelry section that are JUST the thing. I'm going to paint them black and attach them to the door to look like iron work.

Great idea!

And, if you are feeling up to it how amazing would they be if you traced around the outside of those fabulous medallions and cut out a hole in the wood for the door and inset them in it! Then you could see through your metalwork. :D
