My first attempt at wicker: a “wicker” dog bed. I got the pattern here, but shrank it to half-scale.: http://joannswansondiyminiatures.blogspot.com/2011/05/ (scroll down a bit) I used size 30 crochet thread. I think if I try this again, I’ll go a bit smaller with my thread, like a size 50, maybe. What was hardest was braiding it. The thread was so fine, it just wanted to kink and twist as I braided it, instead of forming a smooth, flat braid. I don’t think I can go smaller than 30 for the braid.
