The finishing kit for the Merrimack comes with four sets of plain, glass-front French doors. I like the glass going out onto a patio or balcony, but didn’t think it worked for a front door.  After Googling mid-century modern doors, I decided that this seemed like a do-able modification.  I love the doors with the three little windows, but I would have had to make the doors from scratch, and I wasn’t sure I was up for that.  Anyway, I searched through my stash for a good piece of strip wood, painted it orange on the front and sides and stained the back, and got busy cutting strips to modify my doors.
