Boxwood tree or bushes

So I have been inspired by some cheery fabric for my great room rug, [ on its way ] to make a lemon or orange tree for the great room since its the sunniest brightest room. And to probably add more plants as well. I picked up these bushes at Hobby Lobby, I already had the bases, they look good out side by the doorway, but I also like the idea of a tree inside, I found a place where I can order the right sized lemons or oranges to add. Do you think boxwood leaves would be an ok substitute for a lemon or orange tree?

I found something like your bushes outside the door.  They are perfect.  I just love them.  I looked at the link, the little orange tree would

work and how clever to take a boxwood plant to little orange tree.
