kristinbot5000
I have some old furniture from my ancient Westville I built with my dad...but I hate the fabric!! I've been looking around for directions to reupholster, but can't find any. Do y'all have a link or anything that might come in handy? (sometimes I wish I weren't such a planner!) havanaholly
You can either carefully paint over the upholstered part, or else gently remove it and cover over it with the new fabric.

Holly, what kind of paint would I use to paint over upholstery? I have a few chairs upholstered in an off-white fabric and I would love to have these chairs in mauve instead
havanaholly
Prime it (flat white interior latex works for me) and you can use craft paint over it. If you give it a light sand after the first coat dries it might even look plushier.
Lisa_F
Thanks Holly! I'm definitely going to give this a try!
