rodentraiser
We have a thread about eBay, Etsy, etc finds and we have a thread about dollhouse videos, and also a thread about what neat, new objects we just bought. But here's something a little different and if there's already a thread dedicated to something like this, please let me know. My old fart brain has really been taking some time off these last few months, so I might have forgotten it. This isn't a video, and I can't afford to buy it, but I thought I'd really like to share this with you guys because I think it's so lovely. I can just see this little sofa and chair set in the Glencroft (alas, I'm not going to be building a Glencroft any time soon). I don't suppose anyone here recognizes this fabric, do they? What I'd love to do with it is turn it into wallpaper, with the solid blue being on the bottom half of the wall, the roses being on the top half of the wall, and a solid colored chair rail separating them. Has anyone ever taken a fabric pattern and turned it into wallpaper before and if you did, how did you do it? Edited October 14, 2023 by rodentraiser edit: see, can't spell LOL
havanaholly
Kelly. you do know that you can use fabric as wallpaper and apply it with liquid laundry starch, right? (Thank KathieB for that one)

rodentraiser
Thanks, I did know that Holly, but I need to find the fabric first.
MamaV
I think that's the kind of thing you just have to keep an eye out for, depending on the age of the original furniture. MCC thrift stores in Ohio (usually Mennonite-led) often have second-hand fabric for cheap, and it's usually a bigger, dare I say older, selection than Jo-Anne's or Hobby Lobby or such. I'd keep an eye out there!
