Hello!

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I started my first dollhouse during Covid and I’m finally just about done. (I took LOOONG breaks whenever a tedious task like siding, flooring, or shingling came along) My first house is an Orchid and I already have a second house in the wings that my neighbor gave me. My boyfriend calls it the Flop House because it needs some work. Lol. I’ll be posting in this forum to see if anyone can ID it for me. I live in Denver and am already really excited about everything I’m learning from this forum!

Hi, Tina, welcome to the forum! I have an Orchid waiting for me, but I want to finish a few other projects first. Share pictures with us when you’re able. I want to see the Flop House too! Lucky you being in Denver; you can go to the miniature show there in September!

Welcome to the little family, Ted.  'Way back when the hubs & I had a big satellite dish in our front yard I used to enjoy the bade-off shows where the contestants made cake (and cookie) models of houses; one baker even went whole hog (pun intended) and baked furnishings for the entry.  I think one that self-destructed just before the judging was a model of Frank Lloyd Wright's "Falling Water" house.
