sandilpn
Hi all! I am seriously contemplating running my own home-based miniature business and I can't come up with a good name-so that I can get my resale license! I am also planning on selling online and didn't want to step on any toes. Please help! The only name I could come up with was "The B's Nest". Information on me: last name starts with a 'B' We live on 47th street I'm blonde (LOL) Thanks everyone! Sandra
Minis On The Edge
I Love that name you have and I picture it in my head "The Bee's Nest" and the logo with a Bee hive and a couple of bee's around LOL. What about "B Happy Miniatures"
doogster
Dougal's House of Miniatures Hey, it was Doog's suggestion and he insisted I write it, so there. I told him to type it himself but he has trouble with his paws hitting more than 1 key at a time. The 'B' Hive, to go along that thread, sounds good to me BTW, something along those lines. LisaN
First thing that comes to mind with your name: are you going to expand into other venues besides minis? Bee's nest is a good name. If, you are going to specialize in miniatures, then maybe you need to add something that describes the business you are in. This is just a thought, especially business-wise. Maybe the Lil' Bee's Nest?

I know what your problem feels like, Trinity often has some cute responses to the threads here too! Sometimes, I'll oblige her and make it seem like it was my idea, but sometimes her suggestions for what she'd like me to type are .... well ..... just a little weird (even for me). -Susanne BTW, Trinity is my cat. Doogster: Maybe you should also clarify that Dougal is a cat, to someone who doesn't know they might think it's an alternative personality. This is just a thought, especially business-wise.<<<< Well, I am also thinking of including railroad building supplies as well...say materials for garden railroading-styrenes and metals that could be used to build outside models as well as indoor models. My hubby is a garden railroader now, since I bought him a G-scale (1/29th scale) engine this Christmas. Hence, my becoming interested in minis again. A moderately scaled down version of say, a regular hobby shop. I am not going to carry model airplanes and cars and such...I don't *think*...but hubby may con me into it. So, that being said, a more vague name might be a good idea in case I expand. I am also going to continue on with my Stampin' Up! demonstratorship for as long as I can keep my business up. That would make a good newsletter name too! How awesome! I just had that idea flit through my mind. Ok, "The B's Nest" it will be! Ok, now to get my resale license!
