lyndabuildshouses
If anyone has built the Bayberry, do you have any helpful hints as to how to reinforce the roof pieces so they stay in place. They are pretty thick chunks. thanks!!
texasbuilder
I am building the Bayberry Cottage and found that the roof pieces can be a problem. You have to follow the instructions exactly and make sure everything is square. All the roof parts will not fit together completely. There will be gaps. The roofing shingles will cover the outside and for the inside I used caulk to fill in the cracks and smooth them. It looks good so I am not unhappy with the work. I put something on the site the other day on how to reinforce the railings on the front of the house and that too has worked out very well for me. Shy Spirit
I'm not building the Bayberry, but hearing good tips is always helpful. What glue are you using for the roof?
lyndabuildshouses
Thanks Jerry! I'll read your article on the roof. I used Wood glue and masking tape but this roof is a challenge. Lynda
