These are pieces from what will be the tower, I cut the tabs off the tops because normally the tower roof is not removable but I wanted access to the tower room if I want to change something, so mine will be removable. Cutting tabs off of these kits isn't as easy as cutting them from GL kits. The wood shreds in a weird way and you have to be careful that big chunks from the surface area don't shred/peel away.
