DollhouseSMattress

Creamcheese

I really got sidetracked on the actual building of my dollhouse; partly because I was so sad about losing my dog, Milo to illness in November. Somehow working on some miniature projects and having his photo nearby brought me some solace. Plus we just saved another sweet Pit Bull that was in dire circumstances and desperate for a good home on January 2nd. He's lying right next to me now as I type this. His name is Larry aka Mr. Snuggles! What's really great is that he and my other 3 rescues are all doing so well together!

Anyway....getting back to this photo......I had ordered 2 beds recently and I so disliked the bedding that came with them that I just had to change them out immediately or was it an excuse not to work on the building? I made a box spring and mattress out of card stock, felt and some ticking material I had. I used some carpet thread to make some indentations and then glued some embroidery floss around the edge. This is the mattress for the single brass bed.
