I've been researching RL Victorian decorating and discovered that they loved embellishing their ceilings too. Since this would have been nearly impossible to do once the walls and floors were installed in the Garfield, I laid the floor/ceiling flat and decorated it with snippets of wallpaper etc. and a ceiling medallion. I still have to glue it onto the ceiling but this picks up the wallpaper and colors that eventually will be on the living room and dining room walls.

It is a bit crazy but I hope it will all work once the walls are done. The research I have done seems to show that the Victorians liked this mix of multiple patterns!!!!!! Thanks for your comments!

Thank you! This dollhouse has truly become my top art project and is making my head spin! It's a great creative outlet and so much fun.

Thanks for taking a peek!   All the walls and roof are now glued and although you can't see the ceilings without stooping and looking up, I'm still so happy with how they all turned out.   They look so decorative.   I have to take more pics once I install the LED battery operated lights.   Thanks for your comments.
