soooo.... the roof..... it's paperclay... then painted to look like aged copper.... I like it enough, but it was much MUCH harder to get the paperclay smooth.... so it's kind of a wrinkly copper roof... I guess an old roof wouldn't be perfect... but ....sigh

I can't tell from the photo, did you use a metallic copper paint? Isn't the flat roof aged copper as well? I can't tell from this angle, but the flat roof seems to have more patina, which it sounds like you think the roof needs, if I'm understanding you correctly.

yes, I am not very happy with it because the clay wasn't smooth... and I sanded the heck out of it too... I used copper metallic paint and then some acrylic... I will try to get a better picture tomorrow in daylight....

I think to hide the imperfections it may need more patina :(

I know I see every little thing wrong with my own builds, but this looks lovely. It has a lot of character and is very unique. Puuuuurty!!
