cleaning up my mess

I have been working on door casings for the Chateau, I was inspired by a roombox on ebay this week that had the houseworks double opening doors, I didnt really plan for doors unless I was going to make them. But I ordered 2 sets and they fit! all except for the height which I am working on here, its a dry fit.

I am having a heck of time painting the doors! what am I doing wrong, using craft paint, then tried house paint with a satin finish, that was worse, back to craft paint, its taking forever and its not that great.

it is a beautiful wall; white is a difficult colour indeed...you need several light layers of colour or...the best choice, an artist airbrush
