Adams - Battens on one side

More than half the roof is finished.

The battens, of a different wood, stained very gray, while the walls showed more of their golden wood color. We could rationalize and say that they used two different kinds of wood. Or we may ponder a bit and figure out some way to make them blend better.

The cedar shake shingles will be grayed down to show their age, too.

Kathy, when I first opened the picture, my thought was "wow, how did she get it to look aged like that". I think the color of the battens is perfect. You've done a superb job!
