Adams - Battens on one side

We had a debate as to how far apart to put the battens. I was leaning toward 3/4" (9" boards), but when we dry fitted them, it was aparent that the 1" (12" boards) looked much better. One factor in determining the distance is that the door and window framing is a bit overscale. Everything blends together better at 1".
