Blue dripping candles

I made some blue candles for this room's fireplace,some day Ill make a bouquet, because Id rather have summer flowers here,I think of this as a late summer house... but for now this works:)

Any tips on how you made the candles? I tried making some out of some sculpey and they turned out ok, but I'd really like to get more "drippy" with them. I also tried using a little clay softener and then shaping the "drips" with a toothpick, but had some pretty non-impressive results. Maybe I used too much softener?

Hi Lily, oh its such a sticky mess! I actually get better results when I use LESS clay and more liquid sculpey, even just the liquid by itself works. I dont have any tricks, I use a knitting needle to shape them (small). I bake the candle, then when it cools, add the liquid sculpey and re bake it. 10 minutes each time. Thats all I can think of to offer for advice:-) Hope that helps a little!
