In progress

I was almost too embarassed to post this pic because of the top half. I wanted a broken stucco look with bricks peeking through, but it went seriously awry. I should have built up the wall over the bricks instead of expecting the stucco to do it for me. I layed on the stucco too thick and it cracked, all while still showing the outlines of the egg carton bricks it was supposed to be covering.

So to cover up my mess I used a technique I recently saw on this website. Unfortunately after 20 minutes of searching I cannot find the album where I saw the technique. I know it was mentioned by Brae (otterine) and it was somebody else's Beacon Hill on here.

Then I could not get those darn windows that came with the kit to work! I tried everything. I mean everything and they just woldn't fit. Of course they are these non-standard shaped openings, so I will be making my own windows.

From the album:

ah you're at the "i'm going to leave this on the side of the road" stage! walk away, come back with a fresh head, and you'll be speeding through the build in no time.
