Mergatroy and Pete, an introduction!

When I was about 6 years old, I had two imaginary friends -- Mergatroy and Pete. Mergatroy was about 6 inches tall, and I could hold him in the palm of my hand. His dog, Pete, needed to be walked often and, since Mergatroy used to be in school during the day, guess who walked Pete. Never understood the funny looks I got -- it was simple. I was walking Pete. You can't seem him? Must be something wrong with you! Well, of course I introduced these two characters to my children when they were young enough to understand -- and to enjoy the laugh, and they've lasted long enough so that Mergatroy now has a room of his own!

The room in this photo will have a trundle bed (instead of the sofa and chair) but I'm waiting for that to arrive -- and then I'll rearrange furniture!
