February progress - House Facade

biomom

I did paperclay stone work on the front, added some resin columns, and spray painted everything with an almond color to look like the stone that is typical of Parisian buildings. The camera flash makes it look whiter than it really is.

I finally found balustrade that worked...it was actually 1:12 plastic victorian fencing that I cut in half and trimmed to make it work. I also have wood lattice trim that I painted black and gave a high gloss sheen...you can see a little of it around the roof area (I haven't glued it yet to the house). There will be a flower box on the window to the right of the door. I also need to work on the door and roof dormers...I need something to trim out the inner part of the window.

Wow, this looks great! Good idea to extend the second floor balcony over the door. Reallyl helps with the symmetry, I had a problem with that on my Rosedale bash.
