I saw a tutorial on making a gorgeous flower arrangement in Feb 2009's <i>Dolls House and Miniature Scene</i> (U.K. mag) and I've been waiting all this time for a space that needed this very special piece, so I could try my hand at it. Well, this seemed like the project, so I decided to go for it.<div><br></div><div>First trick: finding that incredible piece of cranberry glass. I looked online all over, and finally determined that a piece that special was probably by Phil Grenyer, as he seems to be *the* guy in mini cranberry glass, but I couldn't find any of my usual sources who had "this" piece for sale, and I just couldn't imagine it with any other vase. (Picky, picky...)</div><div><br></div><div>So I contacted the article's author, Kathryn Gray (Templewood Miniatures), and she had a website for him (how come I didn't find that on my own?). But the funny thing was that she took a couple of days to get back to me and in the meantime I'd discovered that my favorite local mini shop had this very piece in stock all along, obscure though it might seem!</div><div><br></div><div>So in this shot, I get the arrangement started. Phil Grenyer's "William IV" vase anchors a tiny cone of floral foam.</div>
