One of the things that's bothered me since the day I unboxed the Chantilly is that there is a chimney in the attic that doesn't go anywhere. With the use of some balsa, cardboard and paper, now it does.

So Aaron, in answer to your comment about where the chimney for the living room fireplace is...here it is, on the back side of the wall. :)

The stone enclosure is where the range sits.

Thanks for sharing progress photos of your Chantilly! I'm getting ready to build this house and really enjoy seeing what others have done with the kie.

I thought that too with my Chantilly. Such a neat chimney in the attic and no place to use it. I thought of having a small fireplace in the kitchen and an old fashioned water heater in the bathroom but so far, haven't tried it. Where did you put the LR fireplace with the stairs already on that wall?
