Little Jupiter 49 Posted August 5, 2011 It looks like you have wall space. Could you put up some shelves to help organize? Quote Link to comment
chapchap73 1,445 Posted August 5, 2011 I was going to suggest moving "skid row" to shelf over the window Quote Link to comment
CatColorado 96 Posted August 5, 2011 I won't be able to reach them up there, but I will think about it. The ceilings in this room are quite high, so the wall space is a little deceptive. I can just barely touch the top edge of that window with my finger tips while standing on my toes. Quote Link to comment
chapchap73 1,445 Posted August 6, 2011 I use silverware caddies for all my brushes, pliers, etc; the kind that sits on the counter not in a drawer. Most of them have a handle which makes it easy to move to wherever I'm working. We keep all the remotes for the tv,dvd, sound system in one too. Quote Link to comment
Selkie 4,484 Posted August 6, 2011 I agree with the suggestion of using ANY and ALL available wall space for shelving. Just get a folding two or three step step-stool and you can access anything up there. I'm very short and that works for me. In my sewing area, I put up pegboard for small items and thread holders and adjustable shelves over my cutting table. I have all my studio windows and doorways "dressed" with shelves above them. I put all the seldom used items on these areas freeing up the table tops for the mini drawers and underneath for the rolling drawers. Of course, my eldest granddaughter calls me a craft hoarder and just staged an intervention for me which freed up a lot of space. Quote Link to comment
