more balusters arrived!

I have been very busy with work, lots of new loans, area meetings and I was waiting on back ordered balusters,[ even though I could have been working on other things, like trim ]and they arrived yesterday!

Here you see sections of the stairway are glued together or held in place by tacki.

What do you think of my idea to break up the top back section of railing with the larger pieces? I felt it is such a long piece it needs it for added interest

Love the breaks in the railing! I agree about it adding interest. Maybe you could do a little wood carving or applique on them since they are nice and substantial? Whatever you do is gorgeous anyway, so keep coming with the great eye candy! :flowers:

Wow that looks really great! I feel like I could just walk up those stairs. I love the detail on the railings too! Your house is just amazing and coming along quickly. :thumb:
