It’s Christmas of 1940, first wartime Christmas. Everyone is trying to keep spirits up and be in a good holiday cheer. After all, the war will be over come spring. In spite of rations some items can still be found.

Mary has received a bottle of whiskey from the local pub owner. He was a great friend of Mary’s late husband and stops by every now and then.
