How about a plate rack, or shelving going around the top of the room? Gives them a way to display dishes, and if needed you could add some brackets to the bottom of the shelf on the back wall so that you could have a removable curtain rod to freshen decor ever so often... Just a thought, but it's a fairly common way of adding storage space here in farm country.

Would a smaller round table work better with the space? Janet
