It was so very, very, very, veerrryyy slow at work on New Year's Eve that I finally started to draw some plans to making this house (shhh, don't tell the boss and please forgive all the white-out... there were a LOT of markings on here to get everything lined up). Since the house was going to be very wide, I had to use a trimmed down piece of easel paper. Armed with 2 rulers, I set about doing this drawing. I had no protractor for the angles but fortunately they were easy enough to keep in line. The house will be 50" wide with 12" deep rooms (not 15" as noted on the drawing). At the very tippy top of the roof line, it'll measure 28" high. Depending on what I do to the front porch, that could stick out another 3" or so (and 7" wide).

Modern homes are not my most favourite...but this house is so neat and the clean lines are so very exciting!! And those wallpaper choices.....wonderful!! I have seen bunches

of modern furniture..exciting chairs with leather seats with chromepiping..plastic

looking one piece ...I just have to remember where I saw them.I will. :wave:

I'm with you... modern is not my fave but I just thought this would be fun for a change.

BTW, I was born in Hillsboro in 1964. My grandfather was the minister at the Lutheran Church for many years. The wing of the hospital was eventually changed to a psych ward (which I thought was fitting) but I think now the whole thing has been redone. My crib was purchased at a big junk shop (red?) - I think its still there. As a teen, when going back to visit my grandparents, we would shop at that outlet on the outskirts of town (not the outlet mall... this was some small building up past the grocery store) and would get my hair cut at the college beauty school.
