Stacey Doll

pbnhoney

Stacey is my aunt's daughter-in-law. Stacey and my uncle (her father-in-law) share an affinity for the color blue and thus her doll is dressed in blue. The skirt and bolero jacket fabric are a light silk shantung and her white blouse is made from china silk. The skirt is made of six panels with box-pleats at the bottom. I've hand stitched up the sides of the seams in black with a flourish detail at the top of the box-pleats. The jacket has been hand stitched as well to match.

Note: This picture was taken with flash so the color is a bit darker than the actual fabric.

Beautiful work. I wish I could make mini clothes like that. I find it very difficult to create firstly, clothes that fit and secondly clothes that actually look real and you have managed this so successfully.
