first attempts at pillows

Debora59

I almost gave up, but thought my initial problem could be that my fabric was too thick [ anybody use thick fabrics with success? ] so I switched to a thinner piece to work with.

I find that finer fabrics (both quality and fiber) give a better result for miniatures. I really like shantung silk (or better quality). It's often found in a basic weave, like cottons, but drapes better because the fibers are finer. Also, I just love the sheen of silk.

I really like the print on this pillow. It goes great with your classic/modern combination.

This is lovely, you made a great job of the cushions and the colours are perfect.

Yes I agree, fine fabrics give neater results for minis and silk is probably the best I have worked with too.
